Everytime that I go running with Lee this is all I see for an hour because she is so fast.

"pants" turns four

It's hard to believe that Dude turned four. Just a funny note about the "pants", when Dude was two he started to love Spongebob Square Pants (he still loves that show). So when he was two and with his limited vocabulary he would call it "pants". So the kids and I thought it would be funny to convince him that his name was "Dude Pants." So for a year or so it stuck and he was Dude Pants, after a year the charm wore off so now I hear the kids call him "pants".
Anyways here is a few pics of his party. The little blonde kid behind him is his buddy Ryder that pretty much lives with us. Believe me between the two of them they can tear the house apart. Dude is cute and I guess we will keep him (atleast for another year).

GOOD TIMES..

There are a few milestones that I have enjoyed in life. The first one is when the kids could put on their own shoes. The second was them being able to put on their own seatbelts. The third is when they could put all their own ski gear on and get on and off the lifts by themselves and keep up with dad down the hill. I have been skiing with Chuck and Larry for a few years now and they can definately keep up. Here is some pics of our latest day. I would definately ski with these two skibums any day of the week

weekend fun

So this last week found us in Las Vegas doing the Las Vegas Ragnar. Quite the run I might add. It is a 188 mile 12 man relay team. I must say that we did quite well. I ran it with two of my neighbors and some other friends, our team name was Valley OB (our sponsor was our neighbor and he's an OBGYN). That is why our team motto was "what happens in Vegas we treat in Provo", and yes Scott has quite the sense of humor.


Anyways we started Friday morning and ended 28 hours later Saturday afternoon. My first run was in 91 degree weather and that sure worked my fat butt. The other runs were in the night and early morning and were cake walks compared to Fridays run. I averaged in the high sevens and had an awesome time. What made it fun was all the unique Vegas runners that were there, like guys in speedos running it and gals in thongs and bras, there certainly was a unique flair there.

Heres a picture of dude with the medal, he thinks that he is doing it next year. The other pic is of my toes. Everytime I train for one of these my toe nails fall off... I guess it is quite common but hurts none the less. Anyways well worth it and something I plan on doing again.

ONE OF THE REASONS I MARRIED JILL IS THAT SHE IS ONE TOUGH WOMAN. SHE HAS BEEN IN CROSSFIT FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND RELIGIOUSLY GOES ATLEAST FOUR TIMES A WEEK AND IT REALLY SHOWS.
