SO SO JEALOUS!!!

Okay, so I think anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Keith Urban and that he is my favorite singer in the world. Well, I just found out that my sister and niece got to go see him in Tacoma, WA on Saturday night and were two of about 100 people that got to go to a meet and greet BBQ with him where he sang a couple songs and answered questions. Here is my beautiful sister and niece in a pic with Keith below (I stole it from your blog Sarah. :) hee hee)... you girls are SO SO LUCKY!!!! Sarah is on the left and Paula is on the right. He has his arms around them... I would have died of shock I think. :)

Katy's First Day of Preschool

Well, today was Kaitlyn's first day of preschool. She is going to the Kid's Klubhouse which is where Kinlee went to preschool also. She was so excited this morning she kept saying "Okay mom, let's go to school!" even though we still had a half hour before we had to leave. Here is a picture of her before we left. The backpack has Dora on it of course. ;)
Here she is in front of the preschool on the bench right before I dropped her off. She went right in and started playing with the toys while I talked to the teacher. I started to leave and she just said "Goodbye mom!" and had no problem being there. I was very proud of her.

Now, it's about 3:30 in the afternoon and she fell asleep on the floor. Kaitlyn NEVER takes naps so she must have had a lot of fun at school because she was all tuckered out. ;)

THE DUDE

Lets get one thing straight, I am the dude!

Here are a couple of pictures of Christian. The kids all call him "DUDE" because of his white hair he looks like a surfer dude. Out of all the kids he is by far the most laid back, he just does whatever he wants, when he wants, and how he wants to do it. Anyways he is a cutie and i think we will keep him.

Shower with jammies

So I sent Kaitlyn to take a shower the other night and got Christian all in his jammies ready for bed. Next thing I know, I can't find Christian. Well, I heard some laughing coming from the bathroom so I went in and this is what I found...

Christian decided he wanted to get in the shower with Katy so he did... jammies and all. These two have too much fun together. I gave up and just took off his pj's and put him in with her. They love the shower together.

Montana trip 2009

Well, I know it's been forever since I've blogged, this summer has just been crazy and I haven't had any time to sit down and do this. I've been working for Joel in the mornings during the week now and by the time I get home I feel like I have a million things to get done and blogging pretty much is last priority right now. We went to Montana a few weeks ago and had a great time. There are some awesome fireworks down at the lake on the 4th, so we took all the kids this year, including Christian. I was worried he would cry from the loud noisy fireworks, but he just sat on daddy's lap staring at them in amazement. Kaitlyn was even doing the sparklers. She was a little nervous about them at first, but she got to where she wanted to keep doing more. Anyway, here are some pics of our trip to Montana over the 4th over July. The first few are of the 4th of July parade where they throw lots of awesome candy, including full size candy bars and popsicles! This is the only parade Joel will ever go to. :)

Kaitlyn showing me one of her candy scores.

Christian enjoying a sucker from the parade.

Bailey, Kinlee, and Ashley looking good at the parade.

Here is Kaitlyn on the shore of the lake after she drank a raspberry drink giving her a nice red mustache.

One of the only pics of Dylan where he was smiling at me... he usually puts his hands over his face when I try to take a picture.

The kids caught lots of turtles in a little bay of the lake... they would play with them for a while and then let them go.

Dylan and Ashley posing for the camera :)

Here is Kaitlyn on the U-board... she wasn't even scared to try it and when she fell off into the lake, Uncle Jon swam out to her. She didn't want to get in the boat, so Jon helped her swim back to shore. She wasn't scared of the water at all.

Grandma and Christian having a little swim.

Bailey and Kinlee soaking up the sun.

Christian making his favorite funny face, with cousin Alaina.

Kinlee looking cute in her swimsuit.

Christian making his mad face at the camera.
We had a great time this year, the weather was awesome; never a drop of rain which is rare. Usually we have a day or two of rain, but not this year. Joel took Dylan and Kinlee on a long hike up to Strawberry Lake with the other cousins and aunts and uncles. I guess it was 4-1/2 miles up and then back. They did really well, but I think they were tired afterwards and said they don't EVER want to do that hike again. Dylan enjoyed wake-surfing and wakeboarding. He even went over the wake a few times. Kinlee is a big tube rider... she goes with the bigger kids and doesn't mind being flipped out of the tube... the wilder the better for her. Kaitlyn just loves to put on her life jacket and swim out in the lake. She liked riding in the boat too. Christian mostly hung out on the beach playing in the sand with toys and getting really dirty. He also liked to run away when mom wasn't looking. :) I really enjoyed my morning runs with Melissa, Angie, and Leigh Anne. It's a lot nicer running in Montana than on the treadmill at the gym! We're hoping we get to go back again in August... not sure yet because of Joel's work, but it might be me and the kids without him. It's hard on the mom, but the kids sure love to go!

Happy Birthday Baby!

Today is Jills birthday and she can no longer call me the old man (we are the same age). Jill I just wanted to let you know on your birthday that me and the kids love you. The scary thing is that we are getting old and are approaching the big 4-0. This picture that I put in here is of Jill in her work-out clothes last night. I put this picture in here to let her know that she looks as good now as the day we got married, she really has been working out hard. Way to go babe and happy b-day.

Happy birthday Joel!

Today is Joel's birthday... he is still young, only 37 years old. :) The kids and I want to tell you we love you very much and appreciate everything you do for us and all your hard work! This picture is of Joel last fall, but since then he has lost 30 pounds and has been working very hard at the gym and eating right. He wouldn't let me get a new picture of him, but he looks great! Joel is a great husband and father; he loves to tease us and play around a lot but we know he loves us very much. We are proud of him and everything he has accomplished in the last 14 years we've been married. Happy birthday baby!
